How do I become a "Certified" Green Belt

  • PLEASE EMAIL Songul Reed (sreed@umn.edu) for the detailed information if you obtained the approval from your supervisor to take the course
  • Before signing up for the course, candidates must obtain approval from their supervisor
  • Candidates must complete the training and pass the tests
  • Once the training is completed, in order to become a certifed Green Belt, Employee MUST successfully complete a Green Belt Project.

Green Belt Training Course

  • You will learn to select the improvement projects, use the DMAIC methodology to complete the projects, and showcase to scale your project results
  • Takes 32 hours to complete (plus 3-4 hours for the certification test)
