MERSC - Discounted Tickets for Employees
MERSC stands for Minnesota Employee Recreational Services Council. Many Minnesota businesses are members or the MERSC program. To use a discount that's offered through MERSC, you will need to bring proof of employment at the University of Minnesota with you when you go to purchase from the vendor. Proof of employment is usually a pay stub (to be safe). Just tell the vendor that you're employed by the University, a MERSC member company.
U Save Program
The USave Program was developed to provide to University faculty, staff and students a valuable employee benefit by providing savings opportunities, shopping conveniences, and communication of other free benefits. While most of the discounts require employment with the University, some discount providers allow students not employed here to access the discount.
The Office of Human Resources commissioned the USave program in 1998 to be administered through the University's student union facilities - Coffman Memorial Union and its facilities on the West Bank, and the St. Paul Student Center.
