Purpose

As a cross-functional group representing project management needs across University Services, develop project categories and basic templates that will assist project managers in determining the level of rigor required for a given project.

Goals

Recommend standards for University Services Program Management Office

  • Project Categories based on Size, Complexity, Risk
  • Business Case for defined Project Categories
  • Project Charter(s) for defined Project Categories
  • Project Management Plan(s) for defined Project Categories
  • Project Status Report(s) for defined Project Categories
  • Template Work Breakdown Structures for primary project types (Buy, build, cross-organizational, etc.)
  • Assist with implementation planning for the new standards
